Pure Jungle Acai Smoothie Bowl

Acai is one of my favorite superfoods, nothing beats a creamy Acai smoothie bowl for breakfast in the hot summer months! Acai berries grow on palm trees around the Amazon River regions. The trees grow up to 40 to 80 feet high without any branches. The berries are dark purple and look similar to blueberries. They contain powerful polyphenolic anthocyanin compounds such as resveratrol, cyanidin-3-galactoside (C3G), ferulic acid, delphinidin and petunidin. They also contain proanthocyanidin tannins such as epicatechin, protocatechuic acid and ellagic acid. Acai berries are extraordinarily rich in antioxidants and have a very high ORAC score (Oxygen Radical Absorbency Capacity) that is far superior to any other form of fruit that has been officially tested and categorized. It is also rich in key B vitamins, electrolytes and trace minerals that are necessary for reducing inflammation and improving energy levels.

2 tablespoons Pure Jungle Acai
1 frozen banana
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 tablespoon chia seed
1 tablespoon flax seed
1 cup coconut water
