Anti Inflammatory Gold – Turmeric Lattes

Turmeric is such a powerful superfood. If you have any kind of injury or inflammation then you want to be getting in as much of it as possible, it works better than most drugs, without all the crappy side effects! I find the fresh turmeric root tastes 10x better than powdered turmeric but if you can't get access to it swap out fresh for 1 teaspoon of powdered. 

RECIPE - makes 1 latte

  • 1 inch piece fresh organic turmeric root
  • 1/2 inch piece fresh ginger root
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla 
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 drops stevia - I use Sweet Drops brand. Can sub for 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of honey or coconut sugar 
  • 3/4 cup almond milk or any other nut milk, preferably home made 

Blend all together in a high speed blender until smooth then gently bring to heat in a small pot, or if you have an espresso machine use your milk frother then serve
